We use the Evaluations and Comparisons to:

  • Show equality:

  • Indicate sufficiency with adjectives/adverbs:

  • Indicate sufficiency with nouns:

    • Do you have enough money to buy the tickets?

📌 Structure

  • Affirmative: This house is as spacious as our old one.
  • Negative: She didn’t run as fast as her opponent.
  • Question: Is the soup as tasty as it smells?

Use “as … as” to compare qualities or actions between people or things. Use “enough” to show sufficiency.

    She is old enough to vote.
